Abhishekam Essentials:
Hosts are responsible for the following items.
1. Two coconuts. One with husk for kumbam. One to break for use with kaalanchi
2. At least 9 beetle leaves for Kaalanchi and kumbam. If mango leaves are available at least 3 mango leaves and 6 Beetle leaves
3. 1/2 cup of rice for kumbam
4. Minimum 2 Litre Milk for abesekam
5. Yogurt 750ML (gelatin free) for abesekam
6. Rose water bottle
7. Young coconut water fresh or canned
8. Panchaamirtham
9. One fruit plate ( Must include 3 Oranges)
10. Flower petals for pooja
11. Prasatham
12. 3 garlands (big moorthies, approx. 2 ft length each)
13. 3 small garlands (small moorthies, approx. 6″ length each)
14. Thadsanai to Priest (donation to priest) and Donation to Temple (HSM)
Optional:
15. Manchal power, santhana powder, vipoothi, kungumum.
16. New towels 1 x large and 1x small to clean moorthies

Kitchen Usage Guidelines for HSM During Karthikai and Skanthasasti Hosting
Host Family Responsibilities
The following guidelines are established to ensure efficient and respectful use of the
kitchen facilities at the HSM during Karthikai and Skanthasasti hosting events. All host families are expected to adhere to these instructions to maintain a clean and organized environment for everyone.
Kitchen Access
The kitchen will be made available to the host family two hours prior to the scheduled puja time.
The kitchen door will be opened by the designated caretaker, Sheetal.
Cooking Arrangements
Host families are required to bring their own utensils for cooking purposes.
Small stoves may be used to prepare prasadam and simple meals such as rice or sambar.
Instant pots are permitted and can be used with the available plug points in the kitchen.
Serving Items
It is the responsibility of the host family to provide plates, cups, spoons, and napkins for serving food.
Cleanup Duties
After serving prasadam, host families must clean both the kitchen and the
cultural hall.
Before leaving, ensure that all garbage bags are securely tied and properly disposed of.
Verify that the kitchen and cultural hall are thoroughly cleaned before leaving
Make sure all lights in the kitchen and cultural hall are turned off prior to leaving the temple premises.

All host families are requested to strictly follow the above guidelines to ensure the smooth operation of events and the upkeep of the facilities.
